We're Here For You!

Children's Ministries

Welcome to West View's Children’s Ministry!

We believe that everyone should have a meaningful worship experience that will apply specifically to their daily life. Our worship and Bible studies are both exciting and fun, and geared specifically around elementary-aged children.
Come join us in our vision to: Love God with all our heart, Play with our Friends from church, Learn from the Bible, Help others by working hard, and Share the gift of Jesus with family and friends.
Bring your children on Sundays and Wednesday Nights; they'll have a blast!

Sunday Mornings

Children's Small Groups

At 10:00 am every Sunday, kids are equipped by trained and caring adults to know God's Word and apply it to their daily lives. Preschoolers and children meet in our Children's Center, a secure and friendly environment where we strive to let kids know they are safe, loved, and important to God.  Classes are age-graded and available for babies through 6th grade.

During both our 9:00 a.m. Traditional and 11:00 a.m. Contemporary services, we offer Nursery and Toddler Care for babies - 2 year olds, as well as a Preschool Children's Church for 3 year old through Kindergarteners.  School age children worship in the auditorium with their families, and a special worship bulletin is provided for kids that includes fun games and coloring pages that correspond to the sermon.

Sunday Evenings

CHILDREN IN ACTION and mission friends

At West View, we believe that even children can be used by God to spread His Gospel into all the world.  To that end, missions education is an important part of our Children's Ministry.  Our preschoolers spend the 5:00 p.m. Discipleship hour with Mission Friends, a curriculum designed to introduce little ones to the concept of missionaries and expand their understanding of our big world.  Grade school children participate in Children in Action, a missions education program that not only teaches children about missions, but encourages them support missions work and to become missionaries right in their own communities by participating in various projects.

Children's Choir

In the fall, we take a break from RA's and GA's to prepare a Children's Christmas Musical. Practices take place on Sunday evenings at 5:00 in the Children's Center, and we present the musical to the church each year before Christmas.

Wednesday Evenings

bible drills

Children in grades 1-6 participate in Bible Drill during our mid-week meeting. Children who are fourth, fifth, and sixth graders are eligible to participate in Bible Drill competitions, but all children in grades 1-6 can benefit from the skills taught through the Bible Drill curriculum. The purpose of the drill is to help children increase in knowledge of the Bible, learn to locate Bible books and key passages, memorize selected Bible verses and key passages and begin to apply the Bible to their lives.  Children in the first, second, and third grades begin practicing Bible skills and learning key passages to help guide them in their own spiritual journeys and to prepare them for the Children's Bible Drill in future years.

We also provide care and Gospel-centered teaching for babies-Kindergarteners on Wednesday nights.  While parents and caregivers attend our Wednesday night devotion and prayer time, choir practice, Bible studies, or Celebrate Recovery classes, their children of all ages can enjoy classes of their own.
